Technology Director

Background and History:

The Forest Lake Youth Lacrosse Board is a sub-group of the Forest Lake Athletic Association (FLAAA) and serves as a 5013C non-profit organization independent of the public-school system to provide athletic opportunities for students in the areas of Baseball, Basketball, Fastpitch, Football, Lacrosse, T-Ball, and Volleyball.

The Forest Lake Youth Lacrosse Board oversees all planning and activities specifically related to youth lacrosse for girls and boys between ages 7-15.

Technology Director

Term: Elected/Appointed to the FL Lax Board with a 2-year term running November to October. 

Position Summary:

The Technology Director is accountable for configuration of the LAX website, maintenance of domain registration, documenting and communicating new features available, and maintaining use guides for players, parents, and manager.

Essential Details:

  • Set up and execute seasonal registration in designated system.
  • Maintain a current, updated and vital website.
  • Construct and distribute team rosters to all appropriate parties.
  • Manage and maintain current player rosters, with current US Lacrosse #, for reporting
  • Approve all links, postings of photos, etc. made by Board/Coaches/Team to website.
  • Manage and update contractual agreement and relationship with designated system (Sports Engine).
  • Provide communication/instruction on the registration process to players and parents by positing instructions or provide information at information sessions.
  • Provide invoices to Treasurer for payment in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of system administration and configuration.

Estimated Monthly Time Commitment:

  • Jan - Aug - 4 hours/month
  • Sept - Dec -2 hours / month
