Board Member Position Description

Equipment Director

Background and History:

The Forest Lake Youth Lacrosse Board is a sub-group of the Forest Lake Athletic Association (FLAAA) and serves as a 5013C non-profit organization independent of the public-school system to provide athletic opportunities for students in the areas of Baseball, Basketball, Fastpitch, Football, Lacrosse, T-Ball, and Volleyball.

The Forest Lake Youth Lacrosse Board oversees all planning and activities specifically related to youth lacrosse for girls and boys between ages 7-15.

Equipment Director

Term: Elected/Appointed to the FL Lax Board with a 2-year term running November to October. 

Position Summary:

The Equipment Director is responsible for maintaining inventory records, maintenance, and replenishment of all LAX owned equipment.

Essential Duties: 

  • Maintain appropriate amount of equipment for the entire Association (including goalie equipment) as directed by the Board.
  • Repair or replace unusable equipment as directed by the Board.
  • Ensure equipment meets the safety needs / standards set by Leagues and the Association.
  • Maintain coach’s equipment /bags including necessary first aid and practice equipment.
  • Set-up goals at start of season; take down goals at end of season.
  • Ensure fields and nets are in playable conditions throughout the season
  • Provide invoices to Treasurer for payment in a timely manner.

Estimated Monthly Time Commitment:

  • Jan - Aug - 4-6 hours/month
  • Sept - Dec -2-6 hours / month
